Hammond Tours & Travel began as a division of Hammond Transportation in the early 1970s. Orvil and Fran Hammond — passionate about their community and their fellow community members — noticed that although many people were coming to Muskoka as a tourist destination, Muskoka residents lacked in travel services themselves. The entrepreneurs set out to provide the community with unique experiences outside the area, using their motor coaches for day trips and multi-day tours.
