GRATUITIES: A tip is a nice way to convey your appreciation for good service provided by your step-on guide, driver, or tour manager. These gratuities are voluntary and are not included in your tour price.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT TERMS: The act of booking and/or traveling on any of the tours listed herein constitutes acknowledgment of, and acceptance of, the conditions set out within these terms and conditions. In the event that there is a discrepancy between a printed price and the actual price, the actual price will be used at the time of booking. Prices are based on conditions in effect at time of printing and are subject to change. Any price increases will affect new bookings only.
BOOKING AND PAYMENTS: You may book our tours in person at our office (located at 450 Ecclestone Drive, Bracebridge, PO Box 569, P1L 1T8), or by telephone (705-645-2583 or toll free 1-800-563-1885). In order to confirm your reservation, your deposit (as stated in the tour brochure) should be at our office within four days of booking. Balance is due 45 days prior to departure, unless specified otherwise in the tour brochure. When booking within thirty days of departure, full payment is required at time of booking. All rates are per person unless otherwise stated in the details.
OPTIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE: Emergency medical insurance and cancellation insurance are available at an additional cost through our office. Coverage should be purchased when your deposit is paid. If insurance is declined a waiver must be signed and returned to the office prior to departure.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL INSURANCE WHILE OUTSIDE CANADA: Emergency Medical Insurance while traveling outside Canada is available through our office at an additional charge.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL INSURANCE WHILE OUTSIDE ONTARIO: To obtain Out-of-Province (but within Canada) medical services, an insured Ontario resident must show their valid Ontario health card prior to insured services being rendered. If an Ontario resident does not present his/her health card, the facility and/or the physician can bill the Ontario resident directly for the service being rendered. Physicians in all provinces or territories have the option of billing the Ministry of Health and Long Term-Care directly or billing the Ontario resident for the insured services being provided.
If the patient is billed directly for the physician’s component of the health services provided, the patient may seek reimbursement by submitting the original receipt to the ministry It is the responsibility of the patient to enquire from the hospital/facility/physician if they will accept his/her Ontario health card before the services are rendered.
Day Trips are non-refundable, although the full amount minus any unrecoverable costs can be transferred to future trips with Hammond Tours & Travel based on the discretion of Management. If we are able to sell your seat to another customer, a full refund will be available.
Medical and cancellation insurance for International Destinations may have different components. Be sure to ask office for clarification of details before purchase of any International tours.
If you cancel a Multi-Day Tour, the following charges will apply:
To avoid cancellation charges, we recommend the purchase of Cancellation Insurance which must be purchased at the time of deposit. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered and need to be individually clarified.
TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF CANADA: It is the responsibility of each passenger to have a valid passport for travel outside of Canada. As of June 1, 2009 a valid Canadian passport is required for those traveling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship. Canadian Residents holding non-Canadian passports must identify themselves when making a reservation. Hammond Tours & Travel staff will advise passengers of their travel document requirements. Hammond Bus Ltd/ Hammond Tours & Travel will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the United States, other foreign destinations, or for re-entry into Canada.
BORDER CROSSING, MANIFEST REQUIREMENT: In order to expedite our bus inspection when crossing the border, bus companies are now obligated at some passages to provide a passenger manifest before crossing into the US. We will require a copy of your passport page at least one week prior to departure. To facilitate border crossing, please keep your passport on your person.
TOUR POLICIES: To ensure everyone’s maximum comfort, no smoking or alcoholic beverages are permitted on our tour coaches. We do make frequent stops and those who wish may then smoke outside the coach. We also request that strong perfumes and colognes be avoided. Seats may be rotated at the direction of the tour manager. Overnight tours depart from a number of convenient locations including: Huntsville, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Orillia and Barrie.
RESPONSIBILITY: These tours are operated by Hammond Bus Ltd., operating as “Hammond Tours & Travel” 450 Ecclestone Drive, P.O. Box 569, Bracebridge, ON P1L1T8 (phone 705-645-2583) and are licensed by the Ontario Travel Industry Act on Registration No. 2065423. Hammond Bus Ltd. (HTT) acts only as an agent for tour members in arranging accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, admissions, and restaurants, and is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury due to an act or default of any company engaged in providing service included in our tours. Hammond Bus Ltd. (HTT) reserves the right to cancel or alter any tour at its discretion should it become necessary. Hammond Bus Ltd. (HTT) reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a member of any tour at any time if the Company decides their conduct is detrimental or incompatible with the best interests of the tour and its members. Hammond Bus Ltd. (HTT) shall be under no liability to such a person. When traveling outside of Ontario and Canada you may find living standards and practices, as well as standards, practices and conditions with respect to provision of accommodation services and utilities may be different than those experienced in Ontario.
TRAVELLER’S RESPONSIBILITY: People with disabilities are welcomed on our tours provided they are accompanied by a capable traveling companion. We regret we cannot provide individual assistance to a traveler for walking, dining, getting on or off the motor coach, or other personal needs. If you require special assistance that cannot be provided by a person accompanying you, we may be unable to accept your reservation. It is your responsibility to advise us at the time of booking of any special needs you may have and/or if you are traveling with mobility aids such as a walker, wheelchair, scooter or guide dog. If you are carrying oxygen, Hammond Tours & Travel must be notified at the time of the booking. In the event we are unable to accommodate you and maintain safe operating conditions, we will ensure your return to the point of embarkation.
While hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed in our vehicles, we recommend that passengers bring along a travel kit with hand sanitizer, gloves and disinfectant wipes. We encourage passengers to take precautions such as wearing a cloth face covering/mask while traveling. Passengers should frequently wash or sanitize their hands, and avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth. Passengers who are sick, who have been exposed to someone who is sick or have a temperature should not travel. Passengers who have been out of the country within the past 14 days must notify our staff prior to boarding.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS: Please be advised that pictures may be taken on tours that may be published in our promotional materials, including, but not limited to, our website, our brochure and Facebook page.
OTHER TOUR OPERATORS: Terms and conditions may differ on any tours or trips that are operated by other Tour Operators but sold by Hammond Tours & Travel.
